A website isn’t just about letting people know you’re there. It’s about establishing credibility.

For many customers a website will be their first point of contact with your company. Whether it’s something as simple as searching for location and hours, or as involved as online shopping – it’s crucial a website leaves the best possible impression on your customers.

Buro specializes in helping small to medium size businesses develop strong online communications that resonate with customers. What does that mean exactly? Follow me…

The
Process

Building a website is no small task. On the surface it may seem simple: a couple of pictures here, a graphic there – taadaa! If only it were that easy. The reality is websites are complex systems that require proper planning, design and development. Information architecture, content audits, interface design, programming – there is a lot to consider. To help make the construction of a site managable, I employ a specific process.

Research
& Analysis

  • Question period. I dig deeper to find out as much as possible about your business, your business needs and most importantly, your customers.
  • Content audit. Are images required? What about copy? Content is king – let’s find out where we stand.
  • Competitive Analysis

Planning
& Design

  • Flesh out various design directions (informed by the information gleaned in stage 1)
  • Once design direction has been agreed upon, I design all unique pages and elements within the site

Build

  • Code the site with Standards Compliant XHTML and CSS
  • If applicable, add Javascript or Flash for added functionality
  • If applicable, integrate Content Management System

Launch

  • Manage all aspects of site launch
  • If applicable, CMS "how-to" document and training
